Up to 120 people attended the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministries (ATSIM) Regional at Newman for a time of spiritual and social fellowship on 12-13 August 2022.

Newman House in Newman was the venue chosen for the three-session event where Seventh Day Adventist church members and guests from Jigalong, Karalundi, Nullagine, Perth, Tom Price, Newman and surrounds came together.

Guest speaker Pr Darren along with Pr Saia and Pr Lawrence gave some inspiring, humorous and challenging messages on the theme of coming together as brothers and sisters in Christ. This regional coming together meeting provided a blessed opportunity to strengthen everyone’s commitment to Jesus.

One of the highlights was the prayers being given in English and native language by Diane, it truly was a great blessing for all. It was also good to see local church members step up and participate in the church services over the weekend sharing their God-given talents in singing and speaking.

Many of those attending the meetings were strengthened in their faith as the power of God was evident in the powerful messages and the warm fellowship throughout the weekend. The local church members were truly encouraged by this event and plan to do something similar next year.
